MAY BALL 2024 HIGHLIGHTS
It was a glorious sunny evening as over 400 guests gathered beneath a stunning marquee on Richmond Green to enjoy a champagne reception which welcomed them to this year’s glamorous Richmond May Ball.

After a sumptuous dinner, a short film shed light on the work of the Ball’s chosen charities for 2024: Park Lane Stables RDA and My Life Films. Philippa George graced the stage captivating the audience with her eloquent and inspirational speech, culminating in a well-deserved standing ovation.

Rob Henderson, the former Irish and British Lions star, returned to lead the Live Auction again this year, raising over £30,000.

Following the thrill of auctions and the raffle, guests enjoyed a variety of entertainment including casino tables, cheese stations, cocktails, chocolate fountains, and Batak. Many danced to the tunes of the fantastic band Easy Tigers until it was time for carriages at 1 am. Remarkably, in just a few hours after the departure of all guests, the marquee morphed into a vibrant craft tent, ready for the festivities of the Richmond May Fair on Saturday.

This was the Richmond May Ball's 28th fundraising event and it was made possible by our generous sponsors and donors and the invaluable contribution and support of our guests, suppliers and advertisers.

With final calculations still to be made, the Ball will have raised over £100,000 to contribute to the charities' vital work.

We hope to see you again next year, tentatively on the 9th of May, 2025 (to be confirmed)
The indomitable ex British Lions star, Rob Henderson, then led the Live Auction which raised a record-breaking £60,000.
After the excitement of the auctions and raffle, guests danced the night away with the amazing band Fake Tan until carriages at 1am. Magically, after all the guests had gone, the marquee was transformed into a lively craft tent for all the fun of the Richmond May Fair on Saturday.
