I have lived in the Richmond area for nearly 40 years and was involved with Bob on the first May Ball back in 1992 when we were in charge of  running different 

age groups at  Richmond FC mini rugby . I am an accountant ( retired ! ) and I can say unequivocally that the May Balls would not happen without the energy and passion of Bob , Viv and Gillian . I just try to keep them in check with their spending and count the dosh at the end of the event . I try to play a bit of golf at Royal Mid Surrey , am a volunteer for Richmond Good Neighbours where I was the Treasurer for 10 years and I am Chair of Governors  of my alma mater , Rossall School in Lancashire
