The Richmond May Ball is an event woven into the very fabric of Richmond life. This black-tie affair marks the elegant start of the May Fair weekend, set against the picturesque backdrop of the historic Richmond Green. Guests are welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by an exquisite evening of fine dining, premium wines, a lively cocktail bar, and an exciting auction. Entertainment includes dancing to a live band and a variety of offerings, ensuring a memorable night for all. Each year, the event draws over 450 attendees.

Over the years, the Richmond May Ball has raised more than a million pounds for around 20 local charities.

'The pandemic gave us a greater sense of our local community and the importance of Richmond's Open Spaces. This is an opportunity to deliver a spectacular evening on Richmond Green for local residents and their guests whilst raising much needed funds for two very deserving local charities'

CHARITIES 2025
Ruils is a user-led charity supporting disabled children and adults and people with long term health and mental health conditions to live independently, be part of their community and to live life to the full.

They provide information, advice, advocacy, befriending and activities to their clients and their families.

They deliver a range of holistic, outcome-focused services that remove the barriers to living an independent life.
​​
"Although we are all different, every human being has the right to live the life of their choice and to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of their impairment, age or health status."

The Orange Tree Theatre is a local theatre with a global reputation.
A show at the Orange Tree is close-up magic: live, entertaining, unmissable. An intimate theatre with the audience wrapped around the stage. They create world-class productions of new and contemporary drama, revitalise classics and re-discoveries, and introduce children and young people to the magic of theatre.
The OTT are deeply rooted in the local community in South West London, working with thousands of people aged 0 to 100 in Richmond and beyond through participatory theatre, bringing generations together to build confidence, connection, and joy. Their ground-breaking Primary Shakespeare and Shakespeare Up Close projects pack the theatre with children and ignite a spark to last a lifetime.
A NIGHT TO REMEMBER
An evening of champagne, fine food and wine, auction, raffle, dancing to a live band and a variety of entertainment which is attended by over 450 guests.
